Teaching Parent

Location: Enterprise/Deltona, FL

This is reflected in our work as we care for children in crisis, including those abused, abandoned or neglected.

What You Need

  • Minimum age requirement for this position: 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience with at risk youth in a residential setting preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • A single Teaching Parent employee may have 1 child/dependent residing with them.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with co-workers to support and implement the Teaching Family Model of Care and holistic program philosophy
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with youth
  • High personal values and standards that serve as model for youth
  • Demonstrated ability to work with the Treatment Team to make decisions on issues related to the resident/residents in the cottage you are assigned
  • Must have sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics
